Tower transmitter?
The first surprise came from the Phoenix already.
What is this artificial object in the Phoenix landing site? Is this Part of the Parachute? It seems to me a small transmitter’s antenna. That someone planted to closely observe the landing.

But the parachute is a cloth, not a cylindrical body, planted within a little tower. What I see is a tall object, at least higher than wide.
He fell from heaven along with the Phoenix had to fall by gravity and the shock along its axis must remain in a horizontal position or at least bent and lying on the small rocks.
